Our Placement Officer said that if the job changed from the nomination they would call us to see if we were interested in the new job BEFORE mailing the invitation. We didn't get a call from them, actually I called Placement on May 19th. That is when I found out one of the jobs had changed...they apologized for not calling....it was very odd. I am really glad I called because when the invitation arrived it did not say who was assigned to what job. Luckily I knew before opening the packet or that would have been a difficult conversation. "Do we chose who does what?"..."I want this, no I want that". Thankfully that confusion was avoided because of my call. Although Geoff was initially disappointed and surprised by the new job assignment, he ultimately decided to go with it. He really enjoys working with kids and while it will be completely different than practicing law it will definitely be an adventure!

May 17th-On-line toolkit updates...INVITEE..Invitation in the mail.
May 7-We had no idea what Placement complete meant. I called the Placement Office and tracked down our Placement Officer. I was informed we were rejected from our original nomination country and they were looking for something else for us and he didn't know how long it would take. :(

late April-On-line toolkit updates...PLACEMENT COMPLETE

March 29-MEDICAL CLEARANCE*-On-line toolkit is updated.
*We receive a letter in the mail a few days later that Geoff has been medically cleared.

March- Office of Medical Services calls Geoff to ask questions.
